FAQ – Cobot-series
What is the difference between the three cobot models?
The three models differ primarily in payload capacity, reach, and weight:
- Cobot 20 kg: powerful model for heavy workpieces and palletizing in high-volume production
- Cobot 10 kg: versatile model for medium-sized tasks and flexible automation
- Cobot 5 kg: compact and lightweight model for pick & place and small assembly tasks
Are the cobots easy to install and use?
Yes. All models are delivered as plug & play and operated via an intuitive control pad with:
- Programming without any coding required
- Drag learning (manual guidance of the robot arm)
- Graphical user interface
Does the installation require special equipment?
No. The robot can be mounted directly on the floor, wall, or ceiling. All necessary equipment is included, and the compact design makes integration easy – both in new and existing production lines.
How is cobot safety?
All models are equipped with:
- Adjustable drag mode and collision detection
- IP54 protection against dust and moisture
- Certified according to EN ISO 13849-1 PLd Cat.3 and EN ISO 10218-1
- CE marking
Are there safety features?
Yes. The robots also include:
- Manual emergency stop functionality
- Automatic calibration and adjustment
- Fault and system monitoring via the touchscreen
How does the robot operated in practice?
The operator controls the full process via the included touchscreen:
- Monitor status, operation, and errors in real time
- Import a workpiece file or select a program manually
- Guide the robot arm (drag learning) or start the automatic cycle
What types of items can each Cobot model lift based on its payload capacity?
The Cobot models can handle a wide range of items depending on their payload rating:
5 kg model
- Hinges
- Plastic components
- Small metal parts
- Light assembly tools
- Components in small boxes
10 kg model
- Drawer fronts
- Small wood panels
- MDF, plastic, and veneer parts
